this is my first deck and am not sure if all decks should be hard paper, but this deck certainly feels hardback (it's not bendable easy) but that's good because it prevents the cards from bending an d looking ugly. the colors are SOO BEAUTIFUL!! they are so beautifully printed, amazing quality and are soo just gorgeous. i was hesitant cuz the other reviews showed misprints and while it was being delivered i was thinking on maybe cancelling based off the negative reviews. but i kinda went with my gut and all and am happy i did cuz it's an amazing deck and so so good to feel. such high quality for the price. ORDER IT!!!

First, let me say the cards are utterly lovely. For display purposes, they are wonderful.Actual use, at first, is tricky, because the cards are slippery. I'm sure that won't be so much an issue once they get some wear on them.The issue is, if you are a Tarot beginner, the"guide"they send is next to worthless. Almost unreadable due to typos, and nothing that will help you do an actual reading.Bottom line - If you are an established Tarot reader, these will be a lovely addition to your collection. If you are a beginner, plan on getting a supplemental book to help you learn the craft.

Ita's really sad when you like a knock-off better than whata's supposed to be the real deal. ?But if nothing else, the colors on this deck are far superior to the most recent U.S. Games version of the RWS deck. ?There are no scribbled-looking cross-hatchings or newsprint effects, and the flesh tones avoid looking aggressively orange, and are consistent throughout the deck. ?Ita's not my favorite among the various color phases of the RWS a' thata's still the muted Smith Anniversary/Centennial version. ?But Ia'm definitely keeping the deck, while I returned the a'officiala' one.

I'm more impressed than I expected to be with these. I must admit, I thought these were just mass produced, gimmick toy-ish tarot cards like most sold in book stores. While this is definitely a modern set, it's still beautiful! The material is amazing, even if it's some kind of plastic. The images have actual texture to them, and the reflective surfaces really catch the light as if the cards were made of metal or gold foil. You probably wouldn't find ye old gypsy fortune teller using these in some mysterious tent, but for the modern tarot enthusiast, they are perfect!

I was skeptical at first with the manual so small its size as big as the card itself but ita's a pack full of info, and easy to read even with my old eyes. It is actually good to carry around, easy access because it fits in a card box. Illustration of the cards is vibrant, crisp, and detailed. The texture of the cards give a nice feeling in the hands. Coating gives shine and protection. The cards are neither too thick nor too thin. took off a star because the manual only provides 1 type of spread (how to lay cards) which is not enough in my opinion.

I already read the Rider Waite deck but when I saw pictures of these I was a bit skeptical. Could these really look as good in person? Well it arrived in the mail and it looks even BETTER in person. Get the BLACK GOLD color -- the holograms and colors are so beautiful. The way the light reflects off different parts of each card actually helped me learn more about the tarot more by reminding me the meaning of the symbols on each card. Every element on the card gets its own special holographic treatment; it's just so beautiful. Definitely a must buy.

Very nicely done. ?This is based on the original Waite - Pamela Colman Smith deck. ?The line drawing are clearly replicated and the coloring is tastefully done. ?The deck comes with a booklet based on Waite's original text that accompanies the Rider-Waite-Smith deck. ?There are 78 cards but not end cards. ?I prefer decks with two end cards to protect the 78 tarots. ?The card stock is good. ?I just ordered this a few days ago through amazon and it was $3 cheaper, so the price seems to be escalating which is why I gave it only 4 instead of 5 stars.

It's important to consider what you're paying for. Since this deck is a reproduction, it's obviously not going to have amazing quality artwork, it looks like a reproduction and the colouring shows that very clearly in the silly blurs on the faces and in small details etc. However, most mass-produced decks will be like that. The quality of the cardstock is great, and the overall appearance is lovely. The guidebook is very nice considering that it's bound and has a cover, unlike a lot of the mini guidebooks you get with a deck like this.

This deck is absolutely the most lux looking deck I own. ?Ita's gold and colors shine in spectacular fashion. ?Ia've ?never been a fan of the RWS artwork but this version brings it up to a whole new level. ?The fact that it is plastic makes shuffling a dream. ?It never gets worn or ruined by sticky fingers. ?The box is magnetic and equally beautiful. ?My only small complaint is that whoever wrote lines on the inside of the box needs to proof read the words possibility and explore. ?Both words are misspelled.

I like everything about this tarot deck! Everything in the description is 100% spot on. The cards are beautifully designed and produced with great color and clarity. They are high quality, sturdy, and easy to work with. I would recommend them to anyone who cares about quality.
